What isn’t clear is whether doors are locked as protocol or whether they were locked at the last minute as a result of identified threat at that moment. Physical security improvements should be considered here when they repair the damage. The use of some form of glass barrier proofing might be considered. The glass is an ineffective barrier to the prayer area but should remain. A cost effective measure could be found in lessons learned. They cant have this happen again by a copy cat or a repeat in the future. My thoughts and prayers are with the families.
Keith what you describe are rather rudimentary counterintelligence and counterterror advanced threat intelligence, perpetual, persistent. This I have taught locally to anyone willing to listen actively. This is my own model. They were not interested. Church property is the INNER perimeter. Then the OUTER perimeter is a three-mile radius where information and intelligence collection must be under constant review and working knowledge. Crime. terror, quality of life issues.

My current analysis the "mutual aid" TTP, embraced into the Red Green Alliance (Communists and Jihadists) includes the of groups such as a few examples The Socialist Rifle Association, Janes Revenge, Antifasciste Aktion, Black Lives Matter and many others. But let's also focus on the Trans inclusion, such as the Jan 2025 ambush attack of a Border Patrol Agent (Jan 2025) by the trans cult, the "Zizians," or "Ziz." Another cult group in the mix is also "The Dolls," Trantifa.
There is a direct line of association and commonality of these attacks by several similar attackers, I with HIGH confidence we will see more attacks. Some might be "copycat" as revenge, support from any one of the Red-Green Alliance. Supported and or "cowboy." We CANNOT forget what both you and I have warned, the target surveillance of our churches and congregations. The church compter intrusions and exfiltration of congregation personally identifiable information as just one example (ISIS).
But my assessment focus here are the precursors that will drive the next Nashville. The medicolegal, psychiatric, psychotropic terror mixed in with behavioral therapy that brings this attack scenario.

My body is to old and broken to be of much help but I would give it everything I have left to protect.
