Regarding the shooting in England. The two civilians that were shot were behind close doors. The officers did not know anyone was in that room. It’s a tragedy. Also just because a civilian practices does mean they wouldn’t miss. I have involved in three shootings fired a total of 6 rounds missed two and I was on a specialized team that went to the range every month.

Just curious, I run real drills at the range and go weekly. I've always been taught in defensive firearms classes that 100% accuracy is a must. I do believe if you run a drill without trying to achieve 100% accuracy, you're doing it wrong. But, looking up the available stats from large metro police departments, it's easy to see the people that are actually involved in shootouts don't even sniff 100%. It's more like 23%-54% accuracy. Sometimes I wonder if the expectation for 100% is setting the bar at an unachievable level? Maybe an emphasis on the greatest accuracy possible for the situation coupled with a keen awareness of Rule #4, knowing your target and what's beyond it. Just thinking out loud.

When reality is optional, truth is relative and ethical behavior is subjective it amounts to what we call insanity or progressive nihilism. Gaming on tons of dope (Marijuana) and ever increasing communication of influencers makes Johnny a dull boy.
