I get it its convenient for some, however just like the code panel..if you forget to charge it and battery is dead youre going for a key unlock anyhow. So getting the less expensive without the biometric only made sense for me. Oh and the battery that comes with it...will last roughly 6 months before you have to recharge it.(wish it came with a battery power guage)
