This nation absolutely WAS founded by Christian believers. George Washington was a believer, not a deist. Our modern education system has twisted the truth and made these claims of deism specifically to try and spread the lie that we were never founded as a Christian nation, specifically to continue to push the lie that America was never meant to be a Christian nation. I’m sure not everyone was a practicing/believing person of faith (after all, we live in a fallen world, run by fallen people), but today that our forefathers were not believers is incorrect. By and large, tha vast majority absolutely were. One need only read The Federalist Papers and other correspondence written by many of the founders to clearly see that by-and-large, these were predominantly men of faith - faith in God Almighty.
