I would encourage people to spend time with Romans 13 and then spend time with the Declaration of Independence and really listen to what Thomas Jefferson is saying and weigh it with Romans 13. I have found the Declaration of Independence to be a very good commentary on troubled times and fits with Romans 13. For me this helps in bringing into balance the principles your Pastor has brought forth. And as Ecclesiastes says ...' there is a time for everything under the sun'. We need the Lord's daily leading and wisdom to navigate the troubled waters of today. Thanks again.
