With respect.

We need to stop calling an event like this a tragedy. It is not; it is an atrocity.

A tragedy is morally neutral...a tree fell on a house and killed someone.

Atrocities always have a moral component. Someone deliberately chooses to do evil.

This is a spiritual battle, not a political one. My anger is palpable as well. We'd all be wise to stay focused, stay in prayer, and stay in the word.

Thanks Todd. I agree with you 💯. It's a spiritual battle. Evil is no longer afraid to show itself- going away fast are the days of stealth. The abomination of desolation is about to be enthroned. Watch out people.

Jesus did make a whip and turn over the tables in the temple when the time was right.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk was nothing short of pure evil.

Also, he wasn't "killed", "murdered", or "died after being shot". He was assassinated.

Thank you. Thank you for the grounding before I spin out of control. I don't know whether to scream or cry or throw up. I only know that I am desperately sad. Having walked the road his wife now walks. I pray fervently for her heart.

Brother, so sorry for your loss. I'm sick about this as well, and we need to lean on each other to get through things like this. Navigating the aftermath in a Christ-honoring way is not easy, I battle with going full berserker regularly.

Sure it’s Satan. He’s manifesting in people who want to control the world. Charlie spoke out about the Muslims and their mission to make us all bow to their child raping”god”.

I know they’ll arrest you for what you think in England, I NEVER thought you’d be killed for speaking your mind in America, and that’s where we are.

Be Prepared.

The Islamic agenda is something to consider here. Wake up western world. Get back to your first love- Jesus. He is the only solution to the illnesses of this world. Well eventually most people will come to agree. Maybe not now but definitely in the very close future because things are about to get worse.

I can't believe that for an event of that size, at that venue, with that speaker, only SIX university police officers were provided for security. Just my opinion, but a team of six might be adequate for a small to medium congregation - not an open air arena with 2,000 plus, and multiple elevated "line of sight" posts that could be used by a sniper. Again, just my opinion, but beside the rest, this reeks of event planning and security malpractice.

I think it happened because in our country being killed for announcing your position was never considered dangerous.

Charlie wasn’t in the same league (IMHO) as Jack Kennedy or MLK Jr.

In his own way, he was more dangerous to those who disagreed with him because he confronted people’s false beliefs one on one. And more vulnerable because he relied on useless campus cops for security.

True, and there’s no way anyone can be protected from rifle fire from an assassin. The shooter was 2 football fields away, and we can’t live our lives hidden all the time. I suspect there will be fewer outdoor events like this. Greater safety will become standard. Lord help us. Give me back the America of my youth.

He was close. Just in a different way. He went to lots of campuses and challenged the system.

The lack of drone overwatch at events, ANY event is simply unbelievable to me. It literally takes one person and a $500 (or less) bird to take rooftop senarios out of a situation completely.

Thank you for those words. Evil will stop at nothing to get it's way but we know that regardless of what happens along the way, we are on the winning side because of what Christ has done for us.

Well said Keith,

We know your heart and your love for His church. Thank you for reminding us to stay the course.

1 Thess 5:9-11

9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.

11 Therefore, fnencourage one another and build one another up, just as you also are doing.

Thank you for your reminding us of our powerful God. I needed this reassurance and reminder. As a fellow Christian it is a reminder that evil does exist and we must be prepared to confront evil and defend Christianity.

My three daughters and several of my grandkids followed Charlie with a passion ….. they are truly broken this day.

I wrote them the following and now is not a good time to hold anything back as He is compelling me to share.

Charlie loved the country and believed that obedience to Christ meant, in part, defending the best parts of the United States of America. He was, above all things, an evangelist who showed us how to pick up our cross and follow the courageous example that Jesus set down.

Charlie knew what he was risking and honored each of us by setting a bold example that we must continue - at all costs !!!!

Satan killed Charlie to hurt us and our King ….. let’s dedicate ourselves to foiling him with an unwavering prejudice that honors the hero Charlie is.

Pray for Charlies’ family.

Pray fervently for the courage, conviction, and guidance to create a God approved behavioural tribute that becomes your “tip of the spear” for the battles that lay ahead.

Years from now, I believe, we will look back at this moment as the point where our character, our faith, our conviction, and our righteous indignation coagulated individually - as well as corporately - against the forces that believe they have won today.

What they managed to do was to awaken the sleeping giant.

Charlie wasn't merely "killed", he was assassinated, coldly and with malice aforethought, as an act of domestic terrorism.

The world hates Christ first, and so it also hates followers of Christ.

We know Charlie is in Christ's eternal embrace now. Let us pray for his widow and his children who are having the worst day of their lives today.

I was Very upset hearing this news today. It hit me harder than I imagined it would. My heart wept for his young family. I see that his mantle will be carried on by someone and have massive impact. I appreciate your words Keith. I needed to read that. This course of action by the enemy has definitely made an impact. I know that he is where he belongs with Jesus.

Well said, Keith. Sorrow turned to anger and eventually to a reminder of exactly what you pointed out. Charlie was indeed a brave warrior. He went to the front lines always under threats. He treated people with respect and kindness and was an example to all of us. Reflect on your church and your security teams and keep your heads on a swivel to do whatever you can to keep your Pastors and congregants safe. Train and Pray.
