I suspect that the Secret Service has been on-site 24/7 since before the location was even announced, performing a site assessment & threat analysis and developing a comprehensive security plan that will lock the site down tighter than Fort Knox.
Expect mobile full body scanners, metal detectors, facial-recognition cameras tied into databases of known terrorists and bad actors (including ANTIFA, we can hope), surveillance drones, multiple SWAT and Sniper teams, a thousand+ sworn LE inside the stadium and sweeping the perimeter and parking lots, canine units and explosive-detecting machines, multiple Fire and EMS units present on standby, airspace locked down for all except tactical assets, and maybe even a Predator or Reaper drone on-station in a holding pattern.
If their security plan is anything less than a comprehensive package like this, I will be both shocked AND appalled, given that this event in particular would be a "most desirable" target for both domestic and international terror orgs as well as every lefty crazy who has been emboldened by recent events.

Your concern of having so many high value targets in one place so close to our southern border is certainly a factor to consider. When truth is relative, reality optional and morality subjective we have security issues. I remember the days we carried guns hung on a rack back of the truck (sixties). I carried my pistols through Alaska airports in a bag in early seventies. Terrorism was not a tool then. Mistrust wasn't rampant. I lived in the good old days. This plague of left verses right began back then and took root. I will never forget President Kennedy being killed on TV. Political violence is a Red Horse.

After Butler, I’m not as concerned for the safety of the presidential party as I am for all of the other attendees. USSS will have been thoroughly scrubbed by now. The spectrum of all the others will range from the tactically clueless, to those who believe that God will protect them regardless of their folly, to those who will grit their teeth as necessary but go anyway because of their faith and their need to witness. My prayers tomorrow will be for all attendees, regardless of their motive or stance on any of the above.
