Kieth, I appreciate the time and effort you put into this. It would be nice to have a ranking on the plans 1-11, and have your pros/cons for each... I know you are a very busy guy, and I am not trying to be "that guys" lol. Thank you for all you do!
COMMUNION is so thankful that you wrote this, and were so thorough to seek out the truth. We thank Holy Spirit for leading you. You and those who work with you are a blessing. You are sons of GOD, according to the Scriptures.
Keith, do have any recommendations for self defense coverage for us folks living in Washington state? RTB can’t cover us here. I am helping start a church safety team for a church in Spokane and this is an important issue.
You don't seem to have any complaints about USCCA. Is the only difference between it and Right to Bear the cost? or are there other reasons not to recommend USCCA?
USCCA has great training. Right now, they are not a right fit for self-defense coverage for church security teams. It is a little bit more than price with them. I think they’re good organization, but they have to grow a little bit on the self-defense coverage side of things.
Keith, thank you for the time you put into this project. I have been a member of USCCA since their inception. I am changing to RTB today. I am attending the Texas meeting and hope I get a chance to meet you in person. I was on the front lines of church security until I had to retire. I am in a different role now but still involved.
If you LIVE in WA, NY or NJ, no. You can’t have many of the plans companies offer. However, if you’re visiting one of those states you are covered. That’s 50 state coverage, unless you LIVE in one of those anti gun states.
Not sponsored, just a member, but AOR offers coverage for all 50 states through a legal precedent where they use a local attorney as "primary" counsel and they get admitted even though they aren't registered in the state. I'm not sure if their newer insurance-backed components would be eligible.
I appreciate your time and attention to looking at the various legal defence companies. I was a USCCA member and decided to switch to Right to Bear after watching your video. I volunteered at a local Christian School but was then asked to come on staff as the Director of Security. USCCA would not cover me in the case of a use of force incident, while working at the school. I'm glad Right to Bear will cover me ANYWHERE! Thanks Keith and stay safe out there.
Appreciate the information. I work at a private Christian school in Colorado. I am a volunteer on the security team. I am wondering if there is anything more that I should consider in regards to picking a provider? I am about to make the switch to Right to Bear based on your recommendation...
Keith, first I would like to thank you for spending your blood, sweat and treasure building this platform where all like-minded sheepdogs can go to learn and practice some iron sharpens iron with other sheepdogs.
Now for my question,...If you say it was a good shoot and I said it was a good shoot but your local DA decided to charge you with a crime, theoretically, could the insurance company cancel your coverage?
This coverage exists for this exact type of incident. If you intentionally go out and kill your wife, of course they’re not going to cover you. You murdered your wife. But you’re acting in self-defense and there’s a rogue DA that decides to go after you, this is what this coverage is for. If you have any questions, give them a call. They are very open.
Keith, did I hear or read correctly that RTB has civil Liability Coverage? My understanding from them was that they did not offer coverage for civil judgements against their members. The coverage offered is for legal expenses (attorney fees, expert witnesses, court costs, etc) Did i miss something?
I'm a RTB member. I agree the coverage does not include civil judgement coverage. Please take a look at page 13. It reads as RTB also having coverage for civil damages.
Will you rate all 11 programs you looked at and assign them one through 11 and let us know who and what they are by their names possibly with prices that would be nice to know I mean I’m glad you did that research and it’s nice to know right to bear is good but that’s your opinion and I trust it, but I would like to have a rating from 1 to 11 for all the other ones and see where they fall thank you
no sir, I did not see the PDF. I guess if I had seen it I wouldn’t ask that stupid question. I’ll look for it now and proceed forward. Thank you for responding and thank you for your program. I really do love your program. I got my church on board they’re listening you’re watching sharing. Awesome thank you.
I'm reviewing some plans this weekend, unfortunately some do not service Nyj & NY which narrows it down to 2 at the moment. So far only Right to Bear & US Law Shield do. CCW, USCCA & Second Call Defense do not. Going to check out...I forgot the name..Retainer for.......

Attorney’s on retainer is OK. I think that may be your best bet.

SEMPER FI USMC!
Semper Fi brother! I look forward to seeing you too. We are going to have a great time!!
You had stated that Right to Bear offers its product to 50 states but they do not.
If you LIVE in WA, NY or NJ, no. You can’t have many of the plans companies offer. However, if you’re visiting one of those states you are covered. That’s 50 state coverage, unless you LIVE in one of those anti gun states.
Understood. What would be a good alternative, if any?
There aren’t many good options to be honest.
Not sponsored, just a member, but AOR offers coverage for all 50 states through a legal precedent where they use a local attorney as "primary" counsel and they get admitted even though they aren't registered in the state. I'm not sure if their newer insurance-backed components would be eligible.
It would be nice to see a spreadsheet of what is offered by each company.
And where each company is deficient.
I included a PDF in the articles calling my research. In the upper right, choose to look at this in your browser. Then scroll down to the pdf.

Good afternoon to all,
Keith, first I would like to thank you for spending your blood, sweat and treasure building this platform where all like-minded sheepdogs can go to learn and practice some iron sharpens iron with other sheepdogs.

This concern is why I'm leaning towards AOR.

Thank you, Keith! I will be switching to RTBA when my current coverage expires. I'm looking forward to seeing in December in Texas.

Coverage meaning they’ll cover your attorney. Not your judgement if you lose.
I'm a RTB member. I agree the coverage does not include civil judgement coverage. Please take a look at page 13. It reads as RTB also having coverage for civil damages.

So if it’s just my opinion, why would you need me to rate them 1-11? Did you look at the pDF download? It has everything there.
