YES!! Thank you for starting this. I have been doing this very thing and trying to teach others to do it for decades. For some odd reason, too many Christians think "prepping" is either ungodly or just being paranoid. But, every time I get push back, I just remind them of Genesis 41:48 where "Joseph collected all the food produced in those seven years of abundance in Egypt and stored it in the cities. In each city he put the food grown in the fields surrounding it." That, my friends, is Biblical Prepping right there which cannot be denied.

There is a LOT of good information out there if you know where and what to look for. Discernment is crucial. However, there are also too many scaremongors who are only relying on fear to sell viewers some sponsored product they get a commision on. Your channel will be added to my quiver as another great asset.

So one area that you mentioned has been an area that I have conflict with. I get we're suppose to help others, but once "people" are serviced by your giving, they will keep coming looking for more help. If there was a WROL situation to occur, this type of practice is not practical. You are not going to be able to help everyone since it will decrease your own ability to survive. I will be honest that a tactic I would use in a prolonged event might be to send a woman with a couple kids to find out who had supplies. I've been 2 weeks without power due to an ice storm so I have a miniscule of experience with what can occur. Where do you draw the line? Thoughts?

The chances of that happening are so minimal. What is more likely is a regional event. Even if it was an end of the world event, we don't stop following the Bible.

Hey Keith! Funny how great minds think alike. I've been working on a presentation for my church and small groups about prepping from a christian perspective. I've had lots of talks and some people say, "Don't you trust God?" I always answer with scripture. One thing I've always said is, "Prepping makes the tough times easier. I know where I'm going if I die before, during, or after a disaster. Prepping isn't about being scared, it's puts your mind at ease."

Preparedness starts with where you are spiritually. I use a layered approach. Self, family, community, neighborhood, city, etc. If I can't help myself, and I'm a mess, I can't help anyone else.

God bless, Keith! As the wife said, "Keith beat you to it!" LOL

Great insight to starting this channel. Our church has been doing the same thing for two years now and it has generated a lot of interest. Prepping involves every aspect of our lives. Physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially. When hard times come we don't want to be among those that are desperate. We want to be ready with a helping hand. We always say that hard times should be the Christian's finest hour to show Jesus to the world.

Really looking forward to this Keith! Your PDW video blew my mind as to what's possible. I tried carrying an AR in service in a nylon guitar case but word got around and the pastor asked to me to stop but concealed pistols are OK. Will looking that Raider and Jakl you reviewed for sure.

Not a big fan of the LDS church as far as religion goes, but they are doing it correctly in the prepper concept. They have been preaching this as far back as I can remember. They are also a good resource for food storage information and materials.

Your writing is a new perspective on a Christian community for me. Maybe that's because I come from a place with no history of prepping or firearms for self defence. Although now, with a breakdown of a justice system (In some places the gap between law and justice is widening), there seems to be an uptick of Christian spiritual and physical defence preparation. I will look out for more of your work. Thanks for your perspective.

Ok, Thank you!

I just didn't want to tell him wrong. He should be able to call me from his watch also. That's what I am hoping.

I watch you all the time. Thank you for your time and information.

I've had the motto of "Be prepared" ever since I was a boy scout many decades ago. However, having a garage lined with cans of beans no longer seemed important when a serious illness almost felled me. If society ever fails to the point where I would need to run for the hills and grow all my own food while defending it from thieves in order to survive, I'll soon be seeing Jesus instead.

Now my preparations are for a big earthquake, rather than the end of civilization. They are also focused on building relationships, rather than just protecting me and mine.

The first sermon I remember was my pastor explaining he wouldn't build a fallout shelter because he wasn't willing to kill neighbors to keep them out of it.

When I buy a prepper item now, I get extras - to share.

I look forward to the new blog.

Hey, I have a question and I'm not sure where to ask you.

Rama Collier's avatar

Ok, Thank you!

We live in a rural county. My grandson is 10 yrs old. His school has metal detectors and armed guards. I told him if they ever had a gunman or men in the school to make sure where the shots were being fired from. If they were away from his class to run out of the school and into the woods. They have doors that go outside from their classes. I have a watch ordered with gps on it. I want to know if I told him correctly?

I told my kids the same thing!
