I have a SIRT pocket pistol, and find it useful for the reasons Keith lists. Artemis Defense Institute in Lake Forest, California also uses SIRT pistols, equipped as described by Keith, for very realistic individual and group training. Please do let us know when we can buy this system.

They’re available now if you is the link in this article. I used SIRT, but the price point is above this I believe

I have been following you for sometime now. I always enjoy your posts. I found this post enlightening. I will research the Mantis system for our ministry training.

Thank you for all you do. May God bless and keep you and yours safe.

Thank you for all you do, Brother.

I was serving on the Security team at my church, but made the decision to leave a couple months ago. I disagreed with the way important things were being handled and met with the pastor to discuss. We parted on peaceable terms, but I really miss my friends there and working Security with them.

Prayers for your health and travels.

Shalom.

I’m sorry to heard that. Read Nehemiah 5. I was reading it yesterday. I do feel that our internal conflicts distract us from protecting the Body of Christ. I hope that you can work it out. We need good people on the wall.

Which model did you pick, G17, G19, G45? (best for big hands?)

G17 in the video

Keith, what company makes the AK you use in the videos of active shooter training? They shoot blanks.

Keith Graves's avatar

I’ll be doing a video on it in the next month or so

PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't recoil have a bearing on getting back on target? I haven't seen a system that mimics that, so is it possible that results might not reflect reality? Again, I'm willing to be wrong.

Keith Graves's avatar

For sure, recoil affects marksmanship. However, if you ask anybody, that is a great shooter, they will tell you that dry fire training like this is a huge part of them becoming a great shooter.

That's fair. I've been looking at these systems for quite awhile now, and we'll look at this for our team. Thanks for all you do

Hi Keith. I visited the website and they list a X2, X3, and a X10. Is the one you recommend different from those? Or one of those?

Thanks for the information, Glenn

How does the Mantis laser training pistol compare to the SIRT?

Sean Richard Truax's avatar

I carry an H&K VP9 because I’m left handed and that’s the pistol that fits me the best. I’ve resisted getting a Mantis or SIRT because it’s not “my pistol”. (Train like you fight). Still, I may check this out when it’s released. May see if our church will buy a few so we can train.

I do believe that HK is coming out pretty soon
