Losing a furry family member is one of the hardest things to go through. My condolences. This is the cycle of life. Death, The Great Equalizer. Of course, ponder and appreciate the memories and love that was shared. Do not be sad for the time that will be spent apart. Be grateful for the time that God allowed together and that will be spent together again in heaven.

Her pawprints on your heart and life cannot be filled. I hope there are new pawprints soon.

Well said, Chip! Funny you should put it that way, as I know an author that wrote a bestseller titled: Pawprints On Our Hearts. By Kerk Murray. On Amazon... if anyone is interested.

Sorry to hear. Not easy to say good bye to our 4 legged family members. Daughter had to put down her rodeo horse last week.

A wonderful eulogy for Pepper, Keith. It’s a true blessing to have such a special dog in one’s life. They are amazing members of our families and it is hard when they are gone.

Mine was Peanut (named by my then 4 yr old daughter), a big ol’ Black Lab, not fat at 100lbs and LOVED to go duck hunting with me. By my side for 13 years, it was a sad, sad day for us all when he was gone. Yeah, I cried and still miss him all these years later.

God is good to let them be a part of our lives.

Edit: I would enjoy coming along for the ride when you are training your next pup.
