Perhaps and we all (incl you) hope you're wrong. But, as we've seen, one can't predict what any Lone Wolf will do if he/she/it has a grievance, justified or not. That said, what I like about the people here, incl you, is you're vigilant and intelligent. If any church security team member makes a mistake, we may assume that our "friends" in the media will run with it for days and certain electeds will act on it to hamper us. Take care, friend, and God Bless You.
Yes I 100% agree my team and I pray together before service every Sunday that our team is not needed. But if we are needed to step-up and defend the flock that he may guide our actions. Back at you brother Take care God Bless!
One thing we may want to consider is physical fitness and health. At my church, some of the team were encouraged to "retire" for various reasons related to age. Each of us needs to keep a good eye on our fitness, incl our eyesight. Also, we need steady legs, hands and a strong heart. The stress after some interactions can be overwhelming.
"Retire" from hands on, pursuit, and things like that. But, IMO, being vigilant and operating as Eyes and Ears whether through being a Greeter, an Usher, Parking Lot Attendant, watching the security cameras, or something like that, are still crucial elements to keeping the flock safe.
Thanks brother for all you do. We have had a few situations at our church recently and our pastor finally sees the importance of what we do. Thank you for helping us and faithfully serving Jesus. Our team is much better than when we started especially after Burleson training. We are praying for you always brother
I’m thinking the wolves are lying in wait for the shepherds to feel overconfident and not deploy their sheepdogs. The calm before the storm. IMO
