Pedos hang out where the kids are alone. Glad he's caught.
Unfortunately, the downside of the increased awareness in these past few decades is that many people just assume that any adult male who happens to be in the vicinity of a child is a pedo.
To protect myself, I've changed my awareness and behavior accordingly: Even though I was a "Big brother" in the 1980s, I would never do so again.
I do not interact with kids in any setting unless I know them, and their parents are right there.
It's hard not to be reciprocal when I'm out for a walk, or in Walmart, and a friendly cute little kid initiates conversation, but I keep it short and move on. I've never had trouble, and want to keep it that way. It's not worth the risk.
Those who abuse children are the lowest of the low. The effects last long into adulthood as I know well. Whenever I see these stories my anger rises. Thank you Keith for what you're doing. As one in my church who started a security team some years ago, your information is golden. I no longer lead our team because of age but the reality is still there. We're in a big tent in the summer up high in the Colorado mountains. Our property borders a beautiful lake surrounded by high mountains. We get literally hundreds if not more, who visit in the summer....we've had credible threats and our children come first for safety.
Okay, Google helped catch a bad guy. That's great, this time, but let's look at how they did it. Do you think this pedo intentionally uploaded his photos to Google? No way.
Google is always trying to trick customers into uploading photos, and revealing other personal information. Why? Because your data is their product, and they sell it. Dr Robert Epstein has done extensive research into google, youtube, and Facebook on this topic.
Google only turned this guy in to protect themselves, since they came into possession of his child porn, and couldn't legally sell them.
You have nothing to hide until what you have becomes illegal, or it already is but you don't know it. (Think of the book titled "Three Felonies a Day.")
In our context, what about our speech, and our defense tools, and read what other countries are doing to their citizens.

Thank you for telling the truth to people. They can believe it or not act on it or not. The church I go to we are on our game.
