Are congregation is small, and so is our budget. We do not have any prior Law Enforcement. experience. Most of us have our CCW, however some do not. Our training has been slow to develop. We do have congregants in the church that have certifications as CCW Instructors, how ever it has been a challenge since we all work full time. I would like to start brief sessions after church service. But what do we start with. I want to be respectful of peoples time, but at the same time build our team to where we are confident in responding to any threat or medical situation. Most of us have gone through basic stop the bleed class. I welcome any suggestions.

Hello Gary, I would recommend contacting your local law enforcement agency and ask for help in training your team. I'm sure they would be glad to help you and show you the right way to respond to incidents. The first thing I did was to purchase two way radios from Amazon, I was able to get 12 Radios for about $650. I would highly recommend the Midland brand, they also include an ear piece/microphone with each radio to help conceal the radios. I live in North Carolina and if you are close by I would gladly help you or anyone out for free. If you need anything please contact me via email at kidokan59@yahoo.com .

I am Mike head of security at a Catholic church in Wichita Kansas. We have 9 members on our security team covering 4 masses every week and I personally secure 3 children's mass during the week. I am a paid subscriber and all of your training videos are worth every penny. Every member on our team is required to watch 8 videos for starters. Some of the videos I watch 2 or 3 times because they are so packed with intense information and because security was not my career it takes some time to get a lot of these things in ones mind. I would like to recommend that transcripts of the videos be made available for printing because I believe that reading will increase the impact of what one has watched. Thank you for what you are doing, Keep up the good work, we need you! I will always be a subscriber!

Thanks for the 'stats' Keith! You do amazing work for HIS Glory and the equipping of His Body!

For myself - I'm the Safety Team Leader for a fairly small body of believers (avg attendance is 85-90 or so each Sunday service). We have 9 members on our team and typically post 3-4 members each Sunday.

Thanks again and be blessed!

I am so fortunate to have found CWT, I use this information quite frequently when I train my Security/Safety Team. About three years ago I told my wife that I wanted to get baptized at her church and I did. I am a retired LEO and retired Navy Senior Chief Master At Arms, I have extensive training and experience in things related to Law Enforcement. One evening after Bible Study I asked my Pastor if he had a security team and he told me "no". So, I asked him if he would mind if I did a physical security survey and proposed several ideas about creating a Safety Team. One of the problems in my church is that most of the congregation are senior citizens and retired folks. I was asked to be the Director of Security and I accepted, we now have an adequate Safety Team and the church funded the equipment I requested. The CWT website and briefings are of tremendous value and I routinely pass on the information to my Pastor so that he can understand whats going on out in the world. Thank you so much.

Tony, you may not want to provide too much info in response to my question, which is: What's the best training to minimize the risk of Friendly Fire in church? It's a concern I have, as my congregation has an unknown number of CCW's. Some were on the security team but were asked to "retire" and to not carry any more, as their comments seemed to indicate that they were too eager to overreact and their physical skills had diminished. Thank you, sir, for any tips you'd care to share.

Keith, Your hard work and expertise are greatly appreciated. My team benefits from your free training as we are a small church with no formal security budget. Thank you sir.

First of all, God bless you and your daughter for doing everything you do for us. You have personally inspired me to train my team more. I’ve forwarded your content more than any other YouTuber out there. Your content inspired me to invest in a MILO system that provides video scenario training on “shoot, don’t shoot”. I also provide this training free of charge because I feel it’s what God would want me to do. I would really like to make contact with you. Stay well and keep safe.

Thanks for the tip re: MILO, of which I'd never heard.

Hi Keith,

I'm about the youngest and only parishioner at 63 who has any interest in providing security for our little congratulation of 30 or so on a little place on the coast of Maine. I am a former Police Officer and Paramedic so I have a pretty good idea of how to take care of our physical security and the pastor and elders are fine with me being armed anytime I'm on the property. The congregation is almost entirely made up of older or elderly people.

Your newsletter and intelligence is very informative and much appreciated.

I'm just average Joe in the pew. Not a security team member, but my family is my world and I do a paid subscription to access the information so I can better protect my family, and hopefully help in making this information available to others so that we can all be safe.
