Please expand on John 13:35 and show us all how your words match those of the one who is supposed to be the king of your life. Brother, how much more appropriate is it to mourn with them and demonstrate the substance of the God we serve. This is because one can see the god a person serves in the nature of the person we deal with. I would suggest that it is better to be LOVINGLY wrong than dead right
The issue here isn’t about their non carry policy. The issue is how we deal with those who are GRIEVING. Is our 2A, gun toting sense of superiority going to negative our compassion for others? If so, I question our understanding of the Biblical SELFLESS compassion for others. They will correct the problem. I imagine there are a LOT of pointed discussions going on in the LDS congregations. This is for them to work out. It is for US to love (agape) them. Or is what Jesus said wrong?
No first hand information here. I live in the Salt lake area. The news reports are all I hav seen. They show that there was a shooting at a funeral. When you go to the address in the news reports on google street view you can see that it is an LDS ward. The news reports say that the funeral was from another news story where someone walked into a convenience store with a shotgun and was shot by by standards. The service was for that person. So far there hasn't been any information that the reason for the shooting was connected to that incident. News stories also say that the shooting at the funeral happened outside of the building

It is so sad about these funeral shootings. Yes, we have to pray for the safety of churches all over the world, the LDS included.

Brother Hank, no one is throwing mud or salt to the wounds of LDS. They are merely pointing out facts. I see no harm in telling the truth.
