Hopefully the dog is fine

This is about 30 minutes from my home. Hickory is like any other city, it has plenty of good but it has its share of bad neighborhoods. Some areas aren’t worth the risk.

Keith, This was an excellent review of an incident that any of us could find ourselves in....either as security team members or church attendees. Especially appreciate your "rightly dividing the Word of God". Stay Safe, Brother!

Thank you. Keith for sharing your expertise with our church week after week. God is definitely using you and your talent to help us protect our churches across America.

I can see this type of situation becoming really hairy if the fleeing man tries to mingle with the crowd coming to the church. How would you handle that development?

My question is the same as other comments below. The police dog is considered a Police Officer. Was the dog injured from the knife stabbing?

My question too, did the K9 survive?

I have not been able to find an update on the dog

Keith, from our church we started an alerting system because we couldn’t find one existing. We call ourselves, GreenLightAlerting.com and our technology provides quick notifications to our safety/medical staff and/or 911 directly in case a phone call isn’t fast enough. I would like to talk to you on how we can get this to other churches.

Thank you,

Scott Brooks

You said that no officers were injured but you did say the dog was stabbed. Aren't they considered officers? I'm unclear on this but they get full honors if they are killed. Hopefully it wasn't life threatening.
