Praise the Lord for the security guards quick actions and that no one was killed! All glory is His! We will keep the injured guard in our prayers for recovery.
I pass all of your information on to my father in law who is an elder at our church. Thank you for leaving most outside of the paywall. While I’d love to pay for subscription, it’s economically unfeasible. It’s very much appreciated and we’re grateful! God bless you richly!🙏🏻
It's very confusing when you refer to Jewish synagogue as a church! Besides huge theological differences, Jewish places of worship and organizations experience far more attacks than Christian churches!
Keith, Highly recommend that you make contact with Ed Monk . He has a great message that dumbs down the solution in a way that is hard for deluded individuals to challenge. His book is "First 30 Seconds". I think that the two of you would benefit from collaborating.
I was just talking about a scenario with church security that could be prevented with bollards. Eerie. I pray you're wrong about another shooting on or by Easter but I don't think you are. 🙏🏼
whats your thought about soft body armor for security at the church. Thinking about buying 6 soft body armor different sizes for by guys leave at church to put on under clothes.
You won't have time during an incident. You can get knife proof top undergarments that are comfortable in cooler weather to wear under clothes. You can get men's blazers that have bullet protection, in the online Israel Catalogue. I haven't bought one yet, they're about $1000.00 AUD. I wear the knife proof t-shirt in winter.
My thought is to leave them at the church so they guys working can put them on before their shift and take off and leave at the church for the next person. Obviously going to need to wear a t-shirt under it and shirt over.
We have a person going around churhes throughout north central Ohio as far as northeast Ohio and even Pennsylvania. Asking for money but starts to bring race into the contact and even becomes belligerent. Although at this time no violence but VERY HIGH PROBABILITY he is scouting churches for violence.
Thanks for the updates, Keith. It is very helpful for us to be aware of the threats.
Also there was question about med kits at churches. Our has a compact tach med kit in addition to the regular 1st aid kit. there are certain folks trained by me on the kit (I am retired EMS /fire Capt.) Recently we added an AED.
Keith, you're doing a fantastic job, thanks for keeping us updated and advised. I'm a safety team leader at a Michigan church.
You are correct that Michigan has a law prohibiting CPL and church. I'm all for the Second Amendment and arm safety teams. However, if people want to carry, I'd like to see them integrated into the safety team. Having a bunch of unknown people carrying firearms in a crowded building, especially for a church that's rapidly growing and filled with "strangers," this is begging for a friendly fire incident and mistaken identity. If someone wants to carry, they should be willing to join the security team and meet the training and qualification standards set for the team. A well-respected firearms instructor told me that there are years when more undercover cops in New York are killed by uniformed cops than by bad guys because of mistaken identity. I have great respect for concealed weapons carriers but would like them on the team rather than freelancing, unknown to us and with unproven skill and judgment, which puts the congregation at greater risk.
God bless you brother Keith for keep the churches informed.
Im learning good stuff. Thank you brother

While I agree that we should share info, at some point we can't overwhelm those who are acting. Maybe you could volunteer?

You mentioned a Glock 45 for carry. Wondering your professional opinion on a Glock 21 45ACP? more rounds or better stoping power?
Hi Shelby,
When our office changed from a .40 caliber Glock to the Glock 45 (9mm), everyone’s qualification scores moved into the 90’s. It is a great gun.
I have a Glock 41 (long slide 45 ACP). I am more accurate with my Glock 45 (9mm).
I hope that helps.
My 2 cents. Practice and see what you're best at under stress (set up your own stressors).
what radio's do you recommend?
All good information!
Praise God!!!! Training training training.
